Legislators from Opposition National Conference and Congress parties Monday created ruckus in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly over power crisis in snow hit Kashmir valley and staged walkout from the House.As soon as the House assembled this morning for proceedings, NC, Congress, JKPDF and CPI (M) legislators created uproar in the House over power crisis, shortage of essential commdodities in the snow bound Kashmir valley.Shouting slogans, ‘nakaara sarkar’, ‘lachaar sarkar hai hai’, the protesting legislators entered into the well and wanted one hour discussion on the issue in the House.

The members moved adjournment motion demanding house proceedings adjournment for one-hour to hold discussion on power scenario in the Valley as people are facing hardships due to harsh weather conditions.There is no power, drinking water, essential commodities available to the people and government is paying no attention towards their miseries, the members said.However, the Speaker Assembly, Kavinder Gupta directed the members to be seated and the issue can be raised during the grants of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in the second sitting.The members kept shouting and creating pandemonium following which the Speaker disallowed the adjournment motion.Entire opposition later staged walkout of the House amid uproar.
