The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today reviewed the functioning and progress R&B Department. He took stock of the work being carries on various roads projects besides construction of bridges in Kashmir division by R&B department The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B, all Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Exens and other concerned.On the occasion, the Chief Engineer briefed the meeting that 222 Kilometers of road length has been blacktopped and macadamized under NABARD scheme during current fiscal and rest work will be completed before the completion of the financial year. He said the various developmental projects are being implemented under District and State sector, besides cities and towns category. 

He informed the meeting that other projects including widening/upgradation of Ladoora-Achabal road,  construction of Girls hostel under RMSA, creation of cluster University under RMSA, polytechnic institutions, besides upgradation of Khanabal-Pahalgam road via seer Hamdan.He further said that various bridges, DIET buildings, Education sector, Higher Education and Health Sector Schemes are under full execution.The Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to expedite all works in stipulated time. He directed all engineers to prepare a comprehensive report regarding the acquisition of lands, buildings & forest lands and submitted the report within a week so that all bottlenecks are removed at an earliest. He stressed all officers and engineers to work with added zeal and dedication and ensure timely completion of all the developmental projects besides quality and judicious use of funds.
