Additional Deputy Commissioner Gurvinderjeet Singh today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for celebrating the 68th National Voter’s Day.The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ashraf Chowdhary, Project Officer DRDA Zubiar Shah, Chief Education Officer Lal Hussain Chowdhury, Tehsildar Haveli , Mandi and Surnkote beside other officers .The meeting discussed the programs and activities to be carried out in the district in order to generate awareness for greater participation for a stronger democracy at gross root level .It was informed in the meeting that the main function on the day would be held at the Degree college while similar activities would be carried out at sub -division, tehsil , block and booth level in order to sensitise the stakeholders .It was also apprised that on National voters day 2017 elector’s photo identity cards will be distributed and new voters would be registered and felicitated.
