Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan informed the house that an amount of Rs 2.95 crore has been paid during past two years to the IAY beneficiaries of Kangan for construction of dwelling units.The Minister was responding to the question by MLA Kangan, Mian Altaf Ahmed. He informed the house that during the year 2014-15, against the target for construction of 457 new IAY houses, no case was sanctioned due to non availability of funds. 

However, 407 spillover targets were taken up and completed during 2014-15, he added.The Minister further informed that during the year 2015-16, 103 houses have been completed against the sanctioned target of 296 IAY houses.He also informed that in the current financial year, till date an amount of Rs 18.225 lakh has been paid out of CDF to the IAY beneficiaries in Kangan constituency.Many members including Shakti Parihar, Ishfaq Jabbar, Altaf Kaloo, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, Javaid Rana, Kamal Verma raised supplementary questions and demanded inclusion of local public representatives in the formulation process for annual plan of their respective blocks.
