The Punjab Government has made elaborate arrangements for taking the devotees from the state to Patna Sahib on the occasion of 350th birth anniversary of 10th Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. In accordance with the arrangements, 10 special trains and 300 buses would fetch 25000 devotees free of cost to Patna Sahib.Disclosing this in a statement here today, the Punjab Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the 350thbirth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji would be celebrated on a large scale on 5th January, 2017. The State government organized 2 big functions at Sri Anandpur Sahib and New Delhi in which PM Narendra Modi, Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal participated.Dr. Cheema further said that as a result of the sincere efforts of the Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister, 10 special trains would take 10000 devotees and 300 buses would fetch 15000 devotees in the first week of January to Patna Sahib. He also said that the Punjab Government has made arrangements for free travel and free meals besides co-ordinating with the Bihar Government for free stay of the devotees.Dr. Cheema further divulged that residents of every constituency would be fetched in 10 special trains as per the coaches apart from 3 buses operating from each constituency taking the total to 300 buses. He also informed that one coach in each train would be reserved for women and the 3 trains departing from the places of 3 takhts-Sri Amritsar,  Sri Anandpur Sahib and Sri Damdama Sahib would have one coach each reserved for ‘Nihang Sikhs’.
