Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash, today convened a meeting to review the status of heath centres of Hazratbal block.During the meeting, it was said that Block Hazratbal constitutes 16 health centers which include 4 Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHC), 6 New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) and 6 Sub-Centers. It was given out that the UPHC Hazratbal provides all kinds of test facilities and has fully equipped ophthalmic section. The Minister was informed that free investigations are being provided to children in the age group of 6 months to 18 years under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK). Similarly, the UPHC provides free investigations, referral transport and diet for pregnant women under Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK). She was informed that X-ray and ECG facilities have been already procured for the UPHC and will be installed within two months of time.The Minister also reviewed health facilities at UPHC Tailbal. It was given out that the health center has a fully equipped labour room for normal deliveries, dental procedures and immunization.It was further informed that the UPHC has started Adolescent Health Clinic and Life Style Preventive Clinic from the month of October.The MoS Health also interacted with locals and enquired about the facilities being provided at these health centres.
