Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today distributed financial assistance among the people who lost their cattle in border firing.The Minister distributed cheques worth Rs 6, 91,000 at SDM Office, RS Pura among 19 villagers hailing from Bidhipur Jattan, Suchetgarh, Flora, Abdullian, Gopar Basti, Sai Khurd and Joura Farm.MLA, RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat, SDM RS Pura, Vikas Kundal and other senior officers of the district administration were present in the programme.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government has taken all possible steps to safeguard the lives of the people during any kind of exigency.He further said that the priority of the government is to construct concrete bunkers along Line of Control and International Border. The Minister asked the concerned officers to complete the nodal formalities for construction of bunkers within stipulated time frame.Mr Sham Choudhary said that the government has started development of border areas under BADP to provide various facilities to the people of border district.
