The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore, today administered the oath of office and secrecy to former Chief Justice of Rajasthan Mr. Justice (Retd.) SK Mittal as Lokpal of the state during a brief but impressive ceremony, here at Punjab Raj Bhawan in the presence of the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the state Chief Secretary Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal conducted the proceedings of the oath ceremony with the permission of the Governor.The prominent dignitaries who attended swearing in ceremony included Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Dr. Charanjeet Singh Atwal, Cabinet Minister Jathedar Tota Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Balwinder Singh Bhunder, renowned personalities of legal fraternity and top brass of the state administration and Police besides, the family members, relatives and friends of Justice Mittal.
