Div Com reviews security arrangements for exams

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for Board examinations, which are commencing from November 14.Inspector General of Police, Director School Education, Chairman BOSE and CEOs attended the meeting, while as the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts of the valley and District SSPs participated in the meeting via video conferencing.While reviewing the security measures, the Div Com was informed that Section 144 shall be imposed within the radius of 200 metres of all the exam centres to check outside interference.The Div Com directed for shifting of exam material from all the centres to the concerned police stations after the exams, wherefrom it shall be shifted to the Board of School Education.The meeting was further informed that examination control rooms shall be established in all the districts, which shall provide half-hourly reports from the start to the end of the exams, adding all the concerned DCs, SSPs, and SPs must be intimated about the details to avoid any communication gap. The Div Com directed for assessment of the overall situation by the Chairman BOSE and Chief Education Officers, who shall also brief the DCs and the SSPs. He authorised relocation of certain centres sought by various district administrations, directing that any further centre relocations must be immediately done if required.The Div Com directed the district authorities to ensure that all the requisite facilities are put in place for smooth conduct of the examination.
