Accusing Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of doing politics over dead bodies, the BJP said on Friday that both the leaders were in "competition" to abuse Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to tarnish his image."There is a competition between the two leaders (Rahul and Kejriwal) on who can act better and who can abuse the Prime Minister more?," BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma told reporters here. The BJP leader alleged that whenever there are elections in the country, the opposition parties hatch conspiracies to tarnish the image of the BJP-led union government."Whenever elections are there, a sequence of such accusations begin. Some incidents are done as a part of conspiracy and then they begin to take political mileage of it," Sharma said. The BJP leader suggested that opposition parties should refrain from "politics over dead bodies" and also threw them a challenge to do politics over the issues of development."Don't do politics over dead bodies. Don't let down the morale of armed forces.

The country will never forgive you. We are facing terrorism. Our enemies are waiting for opportunities to ruin the country. ISIS is threatening everyday," he said, adding that the Bharatiya Janata Party is ready to debate on issues of development concerning the common man.Taking a dig at Congress, Sharma said that he can go to any extent for their "lust" for power."They (Congress) defend terrorists and question the sacrifices of our soldiers. In their lust for power and vote bank politics, such acts have been the tradition of the Congress. In his efforts to oppose the government, Rahul Gandhi has gone overboard in opposing the interest of the country," he said. The BJP leader said that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have no moral right to speak on the issue of "One Rank, One Pension"."They did not accept the demand of OROP till 43 years. When they were in power for 10 years, they misled the army over OROP. They promised them to give OROP but never seriously considered it. It was the BJP-led government that implemented OROP. There are definitely some technical issues, which will be sorted out in the next two months," Sharma said.
