Highly impressed by the success of pro-people exercise of Sangat Darshan, a brainchild of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, the Chattisgarh government has decided to replicate this model of public welfare and development in their state. The Chattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Kumar today send a high level team in the state to understand the basics of this major initiative undertaken exclusively in Punjab. On the directions of Chattisgarh Chief Minister his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Mr. Arun Bisen and Director Public Relations Mr. Rajesh Sukuma Toppo accompanied the Chief Minister during his Sangat Darshan program here today. Both the senior IAS officers minutely observed this exercise in which the Chief Minister directly interacts with the masses to redress their grievances and give fillip to development. During the Sangat Darshan the officers had detailed discussions with the officers of the state and district administration regarding the entire exercise. 

The team was highly impressed by the fact that a Chief Minister of state visits every village to meet the people by undertaking such a comprehensive exercise. The officers also felt that this scheme was of great help to any government for mitigating the woes of common man. They also appreciated the far sightedness and dedication of Chief Minister for undertaking this program in an efficient manner.Describing this massive public outreach program as a wonderful exercise Mr. Bisen and Mr. Toppo said that this program has a huge potential of public welfare and needs to be replicated in Chattisgarh. They said that this exercise of interaction with the masses at the grass root level was highly beneficial for the general public. Moreover they said that this transparent system of disbursing grants to the villages could give boost to the development of the state.During interaction with the officers, the Chief Minister categorically said that the SAD-BJP government has started a flagship program of Sangat Darshan to redress the grievances of the people in a time bound manner. Mr. Badal said it was a unique program that was being carried only in the state with the sole motive of ensuring the overall development of the state and welfare of its people.

The Chief Minister said that it was on record that besides giving a major fillip to the overall development of the state, the Sangat Darshan programs has also been instrumental in mitigating the woes of common people. He further said that the concept of Sangat Darshan was an integral part of state’s governance as it virtually brought the government at the doorsteps of people thereby bridging the communication gap between the masses and the administration, which normally hindered the process of progress. Mr. Badal said that besides acting as a catalyst for redressing the grievances of people, the Sangat Darshan programs were also helpful for the state government to adjudge the working of officers of the various departments.The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Joint Special Principal Secretary Mr. Kumar Amit, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pradeep Sabharwal and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Jaspreet Singh.
