Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to discuss arrangements to be put in place regarding Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2017.Principal Secretary to Governor, P.K. Tripathi, who is also Chief Executive Officer Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag and Ganderbal, SSP Anantnag and other concerned officers attended the meeting.The meeting discussed threadbare the rationalisation of shops and tent to be pitched in each yatra camp and at other places enroute the holy cave. It was said that the procedure and the timelines to be followed for grant of tents and shop permissions shall be completed before the commencement of yatra 2017.The Divisional Commissioner was apprised through a power point presentation about the plan of tents and shops in various areas. He was further informed that the monitoring procedure needs to be followed for ensuring that tents and shops are pitched strictly according to the layout plan of the camp.On the occasion, the Div Com directed the BRO to complete all road surfacing works pending, if any, before the commencement of the yatra. He further directed the Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag and Ganderbal to suitably fix the rates of ponywallas for the yatra.Concerned officers of the twin districts were also directed to prepare the plan outlay for better traffic management for the convenience of the devotees.
