Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann today said that during the much hyped Investors’ Summit, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal had claimed of signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 1.12 lakh crore for investment in Punjab, but all his tall claims proved ‘hollow’ as majority of the investors disillusioned from the state due to faulty policies of Akalis.“As many as 391 Industrialists were showcased as Investors for Punjab and even signed MoUs, but only 42 investors came forward with actual investment that too with a very meagre amount”, Mann said.Leave apart the new investors, but the existing Industrialists of Punjab are shifting their units from Punjab, which could be evident from the plight of Industry in industrial hubs of Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Mandi Gobindgarh, Mann said.Once voted to power, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would not only bring back the shifted industrial units from Punjab, but create an investors’ friendly atmosphere to attract more investments, he said adding that the Manifesto for Trade & Industry of the party is being appreciated by the stakeholders.
