Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Niraj Kumar today flagged off two separate vans as part of Swachhta campaign and Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP). The Awareness Vans displaying banners of Swachh bharat Mission and SVEEP would cover different panchayats and blocks of the district to create awareness among the common masses about the objectives of SBM and SVEEP.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated concerned officials for the innovative step taken by them He said that such programmes would go a long way in increasing voter turnout during election and help to educate and aware people in general and youth in particular about importance of registration and voting.He also urged the common masses to participate in the Swachhta Pakhwada and sought their cooperation in making Udhampur Open Defecation free.Joint Director Planning Rakesh Jamwal, ACD Joginder Rai, Dy DEO Sapna Kotwal , DPO Sandeep Seointra besides prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
