National Conference senior leader Ali Muhammad Sagar Monday said that pellets didn’t blind anyone during 2010 unrest as Special Operation Procedure (SOP) was followed by the forces. He said that present regime is “deaf, dumb and blind and are least bothered about the sufferings of people.”“Presently, pellets are fired on chests and head. Most of the cases of persons injured in forces action are evident that target was above the waist. Scores of youth have been rendered blind. SOPs are not followed by the forces. Present regime has failed to ensure maximum restraint while dealing with protestors,” Sagar told KNS over phone.“Present regime is deaf, dumb and blind. We could have taken streets to awake it. But who will listen. The entire state is burning and government is pretending that all is well. It is busy in inaugurating building and riding scooties,” he said.“The present situation is beyond unfortunate. Even, there are not any indications of Eid celebrations today. People come to us (NC) and ask to make present regime accountable. What can we do with the government deaf, dumb and blind; not ready to listen, to speak and to see and accept the reality on ground,” he said. (KNS)
