Various deputations from different parts of Jammu today called on  Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary and projected their demands.The deputations apprised the Minister about their demands which were mainly related to provision for safe drinking water, repair or construction of various nallahs, improvement in power supply scenario and repair of roads.The Chief Engineer, Executive Engineer and other senior officials of PHE were also present on the occasion. Mr. Choudhary gave a patient hearing to the problems and directed the concerned officers to look into the issues on priority to mitigate the problems of the people at the earliest.

Interacting with the deputation members, Sham Choudhary said that present coalition government is abreast with the problems being faced by the people of the state and is working to  establish a   corruption free system that give the people a feel of good governance. He said the government is focused on the development and economic growth of all the three regions of the state. He asked the deputations to encourage the deserving people of their respective areas to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes launched for the benefit of the poor and downtrodden sections of the society.
