Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu said the Centre is focussing on providing better infrastructure facilities to give boost to sports. Shri Venkaiah Naidu was speaking at the felicitation function for RIO Olympics 2016 Silver medalist Ms P V Sindhu in Vijayawada today. He said that the State government and the Centre was serious on improving training facilities for sports. Stating that by winning silver medal P V Sindhi made India proud. The Union minister said that PV Sindhu’s victory inspired the youth of the India. Shri Venkaiah Naidu also said that the entire nation was anxious and curious to know the result in the final badminton match played by Sindhu. The Union Minister hoped that P V Sindhu would win gold in the next Olympics. He appreciated the efforts of coach Pullela Gopichand whose determination and hard work resulted in Sindhu’s achievement.Union Minister Shri Venkaiah Naidu felicitated PV Sindhu and her coach P Gopichand amidst huge gathering.
