The Shiromani Akali Dal today lashed out at Aam Admi Party Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on issue of drugs in Goa and said that it seems that the AAP leader wants to befool the people of two states on a single issue with the motive of achieving power.In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman and Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that it is disgusting to see that Mr. Kejriwal has tried to incite the people on the issue of narcotics in Goa as he had tried in Punjab. He said that the Delhi CM has leveled same allegations on the ruling party of Goa which he had leveled on the SAD leadership in the state. Similar is his claim of nexus between political class, police and narcotics traders in Goa which was in Punjab. He said that it is very surprising that he is using same tactic of creating a fear among the masses and exploiting their sentiments on the issue whose gravity is perhaps is he is unaware off.Dr. Cheema further reminded the AAP leader that in this era of social media and high tech media, his gestures of trying to befool the people of two states won’t work as he stood exposed nationally for his lies.Dr. Cheema expressed surprise over the statement of Kejriwal in which he has said that Aam Admi Party does not have funds to contest the elections. Dr. Cheema said that this is an old ploy of Kejriwal to win sympathy of the people wherever he goes and to earn money in the form of donations as well as sale of tickets. He asked him that if the party did not have money then was it the reason behind that he wasted crores of rupees of people of Delhi on his campaign in media in Punjab ? He said that his statement of empty coffers of AAP is nothing but a sheer attempt to gain sympathy of the NRIs so that he could get more funds for the elections.
He said that everybody knows that the AAP is the major receiver of the funds from abroad and his statement is only an attempt to get more funding from abroad as the local Indians are already aware of his mischiefs and don’t contribute towards the party.Lambasting Kejriwal for his claim that Goans will prepare party manifest and will rule Goa, Dr. Cheema reminded the AAP leader that he had claimed same in the case of Punjab but what happened was totally otherwise. Leaders of his party were not consulted on Youth Mainfest for Punjab and his own team had put the pic of Sri Darbar Sahib with broom on this manifesto and not a single discussion was held on the issues of the state with the people of state. He said that Kejriwal was repeating same folly in Goa but will not succeed because his has already been exposed in the state. Dr. Cheema also said that people of the Goa as well as of Punjab are now well aware of his lies and game plans and would teach him a lifetime lesson in the ensuing elections.
