The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today declared that the state government is ready to admit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann in any of the rehab and de-addiction centers situated across the state. It is important to mention that yesterday some Lok Sabha MPs had demanded that bhagwant mann be sent to a rehab & de-addiction owing to the instances where the AAP MP has been reported to be under the influence of liquor. During his interaction with the mediapersons on the occasion of 2nd and concluding day of sangat darshan at the villages of jalalabad constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it is laughable that Congress is calling for an all meeting on the crucial SYL issue as it was the congress itself whose negative and discriminatory brand of politics lies at the bottom of the issue and which has a past history replete with examples of step motherly treatment to Punjab. The Deputy Chief Minister further disclosed that it must not be forgotten that PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh welcomed the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1982 when she laid the foundation stone of SYL at kapoori.
Further lambasting congress, S. Badal said that it doesn't really matter whether congress resorts to the screening of the candidates in the run up to next year's assembly elections because whatever method or strategy congress may devise, the impending doom and total rout of congress is inevitable now. He said that people of Punjab have seen the record development and an era of prosperity ushered by the SAD-BJP Government in the economic, social and cultural sectors and he is strongly hopeful that people would provide a hattrick chance to the SAD-BJP alliance to serve the state. Earlier meeting people during the course of the 2nd and last day of sangat darshan of 15 villages falling under jalalabad constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister accorded sanction to grants more than Rs. 12 crores for the purpose of various development centric works like----water supply and CC flooring, gyms and sports kits, repair of boundary wall of cremation ground & dharamshala, gyms and sports kits, construction of stadium , laying of pipes for clean drinking water and installation of solar lights. Among others present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister, Satinderjit Singh Manta & Manish Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia, SSP Narinder Bhargav and other prominent personalities from administrative and political field.
