Kashmir lawyer’s stage protest demand blanket ban on use of pellets

Lawyers from Kashmir Valley Tuesday hit to roads and staged a peaceful protest against the killings of innocent people in the heart of Srinagar city.Carrying placards and banners the lawyers alleged that India has been inflicting and committing war crimes in Kashmir and its only motive is to blind the next generation of Kashmir. Urging upon international community to take note of Indian war crimes, High Court Bar Association said that extra and brute force is being applied even on the peaceful protesters.The lawyers assembled in the lawns of High court complex and moved towards the main road. They demanded a blanket ban on use of pellets and urging International communities to intervene.  Outside the high court complex, President Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom addressed the battery of lawyers. In his address Advocate Qayoom criticized the Indian sate for “allowing the use of pellets that is blinding the civilian protestors.” He said that the killings should stop.Kashmir is witnessing a civilian uprising since July 9, when government forces killed top rebel commander Burhan Wani in Kokernag in south Kashmir.The High Court Bar Association is on strike since the start of civilian protests and they have stopped attending courts.
