PSEB Recovers 10th Standard Science Fake Books From 9 Places

Punjab School Education Board has recovered 10th Standard Science subject Punjabi Medium fake books from nine places in the state. Disclosing this here today Mr. J.R Mehrook, Secretary Punjab School Education Board said that this surprise checking was conducted by School Education board after special instructions from Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema and Chairperson Dr. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal. During the surprise checking fake books have been recovered from College Book Store, Kapurthala and 8 schools of 5 districts.Mr. Mehrook said that board has written to the SSP, Mohali to register a case against the culprits. He said that Board has also sent fake books recovered from various places to the SSP. He said that difference between the original and fake books was that the original books have water mark of PSEB and the fake books have RSEB, difference in size and colour of books.

He further said that this matter was brought into notice of Education Minister by some undisclosed sources. He took the matter seriously and instructed the Punjab School education Board officials to immediately conduct surprise checking and no one should be spared.On the instruction of Education Minister Punjab School Education Board Chairperson formed special teams which conducted surprise checking at all District Depots and 326 schools. During these checking fake books have been recovered from Saini Public Senior Secondary School Guru Nanak Dev Nagar Habowal Kalan (Ludhiana), Government, Government Senior Secondary School Power House Colony, Patiala, Suman Day Boarding Senior Secondary School Ladhewali, Jalandhar, Senior Model  Co Education Senior Secondary School Ladowali Road Jalandhar, PSSB Adarash Senior Secondary School Khatkar Kalan Nawansehar,   Government Senior Secondary School Bhim  Nagar Moga, Government Senior Secondary School Boys Dala, Moga and Government Senior Secondary School Girls Dala Moga.
