unjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today slammed the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress party for conniving with each other to derail the development process and disturb the hard earned peace in the state for their vested political interests.Addressing various Sangat Darshan programs in Mehal Kalan assembly segment here today, the Chief Minister said that the Congress party  has always taken an anti-Punjab stance by continuously doing injustice with it. He said that unfortunately the newly formed Aam Aadmi Party was also following the legacy of Congress to damage the state. Mr Badal said that both these political parties were the sworn enemies of the state and asked the people of Punjab to vigilant of their nefarious designs to ruin the state.Urging the people to exercise their franchise cautiously, the Chief Minister said that it would make or mar the future of the state. He said that the people should not hand over their destiny to those people who have been inimical to the interests of state as Punjab has already suffered a lot due to such experiences in the past.

Slamming the Congress party for being hostile to the state and its people, the Chief Minister reminded the masses that Congress had bruised the psyche of every Punjabi by attacking Sri Darbar Sahib and butchering thousands of innocent Sikhs in various parts of country during 1984. He said that Congress has deprived the state of its capital, legitimate share in the river waters, Punjabi speaking areas besides destroying the economy of state. Mr Badal said that even the plan to rob the waters of state by constructing SYL canal was formed and executed by Congress adding that the then Prime Minister Mrs Indira Gandhi had performed the ground breaking ceremony of this canal. The Chief Minister said that not only this but like the Congress party, AAP was also suffering from the anti-Punjab syndrome which has been exposed by the policies pursued by it in Delhi. Citing the examples, he said that AAP government in Delhi discontinued teaching of Punjabi language in schools, didn't observed a holiday on sacred Baisakhi festival, demolished the piau outside Gurdwara Sisganjh Sahib and above all have submitted an affidavit against the state in Apex court on SYL issue.

Mr Badal said that disguised in robe of Aam Aadmi (common man), these people were working overtime against the interests of the state.Later on, interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that the process of recruitment for filling posts in various departments has already been initiated and would be completed soon.Replying to another query the Chief Minister said despite of its meagre resources the state government has been carrying on its pro- people policies without any problem. He said that the state government has started a new scheme to give interest free crop loan to farmers worth Rs 50,000. Likewise, Mr Badal said that free treatment was being provided for fatal diseases like Cancer and Hepatitis C.The Chief Minister was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, MLA Mr. Gobind Singh Kanjla, former Minister Mr. Gobind Singh Longowal, former MLA Mr Ajit Singh Shaant, his Special Principal Secretary Dr S Karunaraju, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Arshdeep Singh Thind and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Pritpal Singh Thind.
