Expressing shock over the fresh killings in South Kashmir, separatists have extended the strike call for more two days.Castigating the government Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that using the ‘indiscriminate’ force was surprising and unwarranted.“The use of indiscriminate force in the Valley has now become a routine as they know that they are accountable to none,” Mirwaiz told KNS.Mirwaiz said that government knew that the people of the state particularly in the Valley had harboring resentment against the system yet the authorities instead of restraining resorted to indiscriminate firing resulting in fresh casualties.

He said the use of force on angry and unarmed people is a testimony of the fact that government has lost patience and has gone more trigger happy due to mass resentment from the public.Mirwaiz further said that the situation on the ground was an eye-opener for the government who claim that they rule by the virtue of the popular support. He said that extending the call for Sunday and Monday was decided jointly by his faction along with Geelani led Hurriyat Conference (G) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). Mirwaz appealed people to gather in local Masjids for expressing their resentment and paying tribute to the departed souls. (KNS)
