56 Students From Meritorious Schools Crack Pmet Exam: Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema

56 odd students from meritorious schools cracked the PMET exam after 31 students cleared the prestigious IIT examination. Disclosing this in a press communiqué Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, said that the successful students belonged to the first batch of medical stream in Meritorious School who have cleared the PMET exam in maiden attempt.He said that the success in these meritorious schools credited to S. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister, Punjab who envisioned the opening up of meritorious schools in the state for brilliant but needy students. It is pertinent to mention that earlier 31 students of Non Medical stream have cleared the IIT-JEE Advance exam and now 56 students from Medical stream have cracked the PMET exam from these schools.Dr. Cheema proudly said that these all student have studied in Government schools till 10th class and belongs to marginal families. The Dream project of Chief Minister S. Badal is running successfully as these students will now go to medical colleges for Higher Education.

Divulging the details Dr. Cheema said out of these 56 students who have passed the exam, 45 girls and 11 boys. It is a proud moment for the state as girls are coming out stupendous results in the field of education. Out of these meritorious schools the outstanding results came as from Jalandhar 13, Mohali and Bathinda 10 each, Patiala 9, Ludhiana 8 and Amritsar 6.The Minister congrats the Project Director Major General (Retd.) K.A.S.Bhullar, Principals of these schools, School staff and parents whose hard work has shown this remarkable outcome.

Name of students According to Schools:-

Jalandhar (13): Sandeep Kaur, Sarabjeet Kaur, Vandna, Manpreet Kaur, Smaily Mahay, Damini Sharma, Satinder Kaur, Jasmeen, Tanu, Kulvir Kaur, Munish Kumar, Bhavna and Staffy.

Mohali (10): Ankita, Jyoti Devi, Ekta Devi, Kajal, Gurpreet Kaur, Anchal, Dilawar Singh, Manjit Singh, Kajal and Manpreet Bhakri .

Bathinda (10): Sukhpreet Singh,  Simran, Manpreet Kaur, Manpreet Singh, Amandeep Kaur, Jaswinder Singh, Beant Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, Lovepreet Kaur and Sumanpreet Kaur.

Patiala (9): Karan Kumar, Harpreet Kaur, Satpal Singh, Sarabjeet Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Harpal Kaur, Arshpreet Singh, Amandeep Kaur and Gaganpreet Kaur.

Ludhiana (8): Anupriya, Baljeevan, Mamta Kumari, Harpreet Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Sukhmani, Ramandeep Singh and Harmanjot Kaur.
