A Standing Committee meeting of National Conference of State Public Service Commissions was held here today.The meeting was chaired by the Chairman Standing Committee of National Conference of State Public Service Commissions, Mr. K.S Tomar.Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission Mr. Latief-Ur-Zaman Deva, besides Chairpersons of the Chatisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Telangana States were present on the occasion.The meeting deliberated upon various matters for improving the functioning of PSCs so that process of examinations/ written tests is conducted in free, fair and transparent manner besides providing better facilities to the aspiring candidates.

During the meeting, the Standing Committee emphasized for efficient and effective functioning of all PSCs in the country to ensure better perception among the people by taking reformation initiatives so that candidates are given justice. Reforms for strengthening and image building of State PSCs .The meeting also discusses various issues related to use of IT facilities including submission of online applications, one time registration (OTR), online examination, e-governance besides financial and Administrative autonomy to Public Service Commissions (PSCs), enhancement in pay allowances and pension, enhancement of retirement age and other related issues.Later, the Committee interacted with the media at SKICC.Members and other senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission also attended the meeting.
