DDC reviews Mela arrangements at Kheer Bhawani

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal today visited Kheer Bhawani to review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Mela.The DDC was briefed about the preparedness of the district administration for the upcoming Mela and was told that a foolproof mechanism would be in place to ensure that the devotees get all necessary facilities for performing religious rituals.He directed the officers to ensure that devotees do not face any sort of inconvenience and stressed upon the officers to keep close coordination so that all possible facilities are made available to the devotees during Kheer Bhawani Mela.The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the shrine complex where thousands of Kashmiri Pandits are expected to pay obeisance at the temple.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and Officers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Police, Municipal Committee, Health, Fire and Emergency Services and other departments.
