Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal stressed on concerted efforts for promoting Hindi language among the youth and exhorted upon the writers to make literature easy and interesting so that readers develop interest in Hindi literature.Dr. Kotwal said this while addressing a Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, organized by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on the theme of the ‘Vartman Yug Aur Hindi Sahitya’ today.Secretary, JKAACL , Aziz Hajini, Ved Kumari Ghai, renowned writer and dramatist, Narendra Mohan, Dr. Amrinder Singh, Hazra Choudhary, writers and poets from all over the state besides students were also present on the occasion.Dr. Kotwal underscored the need and importance of such literary functions and said that the subject to be deliberated upon in this Conference is a burning issue of the present age. He expressed hope that the learned minds and littérateurs in these two days shall deliberate upon the issue and work out the means and ways through which the languages can be promoted and preserved.Meanwhile, Dr. Pawan Kotwal also released the April-May issue of ‘Neelmat Puran’ and Shiraza’. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aziz Hajni said that it was a moment of great pride and pleasure for the Academy to hold this function and Academy will take adequate steps to promote healthy & constructive Hindi literature in the state and propagate its value and utility amongst the people.
