Minister of State for Health & Medical Education, Housing & Urban Development and Social Welfare Ms Asiea Naqash today said that health sector in the state is set for a major change as every medicine will soon be made available in the government hospitals.The Minister was interacting with patients, attendants and staff during a tour of SDH Pattan, District Hospital Handwara and Community Hospital Sopore.The minister took stock of medicare facilities being provided to the patients at the hospitals. She directed the concerned authorities to utilize every resource in the hospitals and ensure that the patients are treated at the local health institutes thus avoiding their referral to Srinagar.

The minister visited OPD‘s, General Ward, Causality and Emergency sections of the hospitals and interacted with the patients and attendants. The Minister said that government is making all out efforts to increase man power, upgrade infrastructure and other facilities in health sector. She said that government has already taken various initiatives to improve healthcare facilities in each hospital of the state. While addressing the grievances of the public at community Hospital Sopore she assured them that within a period of few months every medicine will be made available at all the government health institutes.She also checked the roaster at the hospitals and directed concerned authorities to make sure the doctors, paramedical staff attend to their duties with full dedication.
