Deputy Commissioner Kulgam today convened a joint meeting of Revenue & CAPD Officers to review functioning of these departments in the district.The Deputy Commissioner informed that hundreds of kanals of Kahcharia/State land is being identified in the form of patches for eviction purposes. The Deputy Commissioner on the occasion strictly directed the Tehsildars to start a strong and extensive eviction drive for removal of Kacharia/State land encroachment from all Tehsils. He reiterated his direction to keep a tab on conversion of agriculture land for nonagricultural purposes in their respective jurisdictions.Deputy Commissioner also impressed upon the officers to activate Revenue Courts & ensure timely hearing twice a week, so that dispensation of justice and resolution of land disputes is ensured. He enjoined upon the officers to issue all the certificates in a time bound manner under PSGA besides holding the regular mutation camps in their jurisdictions. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of CAPD to display the rate list of essential commodities in the sale centers as per National Food Security Act besides ending duplication if any found in the ration list.The Deputy Commissioner directed Additional Deputy Commissioner to frame a high level officers committee to monitor the functioning of the ration sale centres as per NFSA in the District. The meeting was also attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Tehsil Supply Officers.
