Kanwar Sandhu Head of Manifesto Team of Aam Aadmy Party has stated that if AAP comes to power in Punjab,  special priority will be accorded to develop Punjab as  the Milk State  of the country by improving  the Dairy Farming as an viable alternative under Agriculture diversification programme.  Mr. Sandhu was addressing the Dairy farmers from all parts of Punjab at Punjab Dailogue programme of AAP organized by Punjab Progrssive Farmers Association (PDFA) here today.Answering the various  suggestions  given by the dairy farmers , Mr. Sandhu said that earlier Punjab was known as the land of milk and   butter, but with the anti farmers policies of successive governments,  now it stands nowhere   as compared to the per capita milk production of  the Milk producing countries, even in India it surged to 4th position.  He said that after going through the  suggestions given by the dairy farmers in the programme, concrete solutions will be incorporated in the Election Manifesto  of AAP for the coming Vidhan Sabha elections in Punjab. 

Mr. sandhu further  said that no political  party after coming to power cared about the promises made with the public  in Election Menfesto . He affirmed that the released  Manifesto for the elections will be a  noble document for AAP and  all promises made in it will be fulfilled after forming the Government. The  various members of PDFA  informed that  with joint efforts  they had developed Dairy Farming in Punjab on commercial lines since 2002, but during the last 4-5 years, the state Govt. had created a number of hurdles in the development of this venture and  turned it into a  non profitable venture. Mr. Sandhu added that the small and marginal farmers will be given required facilities  to develop dairy farming, which has the maximum potential of  self employment. He assured that the AAP will completely rout out the corruption from the governance  after coming to power within one month. Mr. Sandhu said that during past more than  9 years, Badal Govt. had not bothered to take any concrete step to redress the genuine problems of Farmers and daily news of suicides by 2-3 farmers  were appearing in media . He assured that the AAP will find the solution to all the problems of the farmers and the era of suicides will definitely come to an end in the state. 

Addressing the gathering Chander Sutta Dogra a member of Manifesto Team  apprised the people about the steps taken by Delhi Govt.  to fulfill the promises made in the manifesto. She listed various  facilities including free water,  power on half rates, improvement in education and health sector in Delhi. She added that the compensation for damaged to the crops of  farmers and collector rates for acquired  Agriculture land  had substantially been enhanced  by Delhi Govt.State President  of AAP’s Kisan and Labour Wing, Capt. G S Kang  said that  all the suggestions coming from the farmers were being minutely studied and the solutions will be presented in the Manifesto. Mr. Daljit Singh Sadarpura  President  PDFA  and around two dozen progressive dairy farmers  raised the problems and given suggestions during the Punjab Dialogue programme .Prominent among others who were present on this occasion included Ludhiana Zone Observer Ambrish  Trikha,  Zone Coordinator Col. CM Lakhanpal, State General Secy of Kisan and Labour Wing Ahbaab Singh Grewal, Bgd. TS Thind, Media Coordinator Darshan Singh Shankar, Social Media Coordinator Puneet Sahni, Col. Iqbal Singh Pannu and  Social Media Coordinator of Kisan Wing Manisha Singh.
