A large contingent of NIT students along with NSUI activists staged a protest rally in Jammu University today. The students from different departments boycotted their classes and joined the protest. The rally started from central library Jammu University and was culminated at Vikram Chowk with students raising slogan ‘BJP HAYE HAYE, HOSH MAIN AYO, HOSH MAIN AYO, SMRITI IRANI HOSH MAIN AYO’. The protesters also blocked the roads outside Jammu University for couple of hours. The students from NIT claimed that they were protesting from so many days but its unfortunate that none of their demand have been addressed. 

The students also said that  morever today we have been informed that the committee which was constituted by NIT administration has held them responsible for the mishappening done in NIT. NIT students claimed that BJP has been exposed today with their double standard nationalism in NIT and JNU, as despite the repeated protests no one from the party has came to meet them. The students warned the State Government and MHRD of ab intensified agitation more aggressively if their demands are not been addressed.
