Minister of State for Health &Medical Education ,Housing and Urban development and Social Welfare Ms Asiea Naqash today paid a surprise visit to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and took stock of the healthcare services being provided to the patients.While checking the duty roaster of the staff, the minister impressed upon the concerned functionaries to strictly adhere to the duty roaster and ensure punctuality to provide best medicare to the patients.Interacting with the patients in Emergency and other OPD wards, the Minister assured that the health institutions would be provided latest medical equipments for providing best treatment to the patients. She directed the medical superintendent to ensure cleanliness in and around the hospital premises and Canteen. Asiea exhorted upon the health functionaries to work with missionary zeal and put in dedicated efforts to improve service delivery mechanism in health institutions.Principal GMC, Dr. Zahid Gillani was also present on the occasion.
