Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar today inaugurated web-based MIS for Smart Classroom with Computer Lab (SCCL) at new SSA and RMSA office complex at Channi Rama here.Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Gardens & Parks, Tourism and Culture, Ms. Priya Sethi, Commissioner Secretary, Education, Mr Shailen Kabra, Project Director Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Mr. Saugat Biswas, Director School Education, Kashmir, Dr Shah Faesal, Director School Education, Jammu, Mrs. Smita Sethi, Director NIELIT J&K, Mr. Ayaz Moon and other concerned officers of RMSA and SSA were present on the occasion.The web-based MIS has been developed by NIELIT as a part of implementation of SCCL in 440 schools under RMSA and SSA.

These schools will be equipped with the latest IT equipment related to the smart classrooms. The web-based MIS portal shall facilitate the designated Nodal Officers of the schools to update the supply and installation of equipment in their schools.All the School Nodal Officers shall be provided a user name and password by NIELIT to update the school details. The portal is available at www.jknielitprojects.in .Earlier, the Ministers took a round of the RMSA and SSA offices and directed the concerned to work with dedication and come up to the expectations of the people.The Ministers directed for formulating a monitoring cell both at Jammu and Srinagar which will monitor petitions and applications.Later, the Ministers reviewed overall functioning of RMSA and SSA.Commissioner Secretary Education briefed the meeting about the achievements registered under these projects.Threadbare discussions were held on various issues including status of girls hostel, supplementary proposals under AWP&B 2016-17 and residential quarters for teachers.
