The student organisation of India (SOI), wing of Shiromani Akali dal becomes bridge between the students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and state government. After the intervention of cabinet Minister Mr Bikram Singh Majithia, the long pending issues of PAU students were solved.Director Youth Development Board and SOI Zonal president Meetpal Singh Dugri arranged the meeting of PAU students with Bikram Majithia. University students Puneetinder Singh Grewal, Jobanjeet Singh, Guranjan Singh, Karanveer Singh Sandhu, Parvinder Singh, Tejpal Singh, Baldev Kalsi and Shavinder Singh told Bikram Majithia regarding the problems faced by them.

Following the demands of students, Bikram Majithia called the concerned authorities and asked them to solve the problems of students.Meetpal Singh Dugri said that they have now arranged meeting of students with PAU Vice Chancellor on Monday and hope for positive results.Meetpal Dugri further said the university authorities charge fee for reappear in examination, issue of 10+2 certificate in inegrated courses and some others.Accompanied by Ravinderpal Singh Minku, Prabhjot Singh Dhaliwal and Sahibjot Singh Chawla, Meetpal Singh Dugri said that they will stand rocksolid behind the students and will leave no stone unturned to redress the issues of students.
