Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today said that an amount of Rs 41.53 crore has been disbursed among 16188 traders till date who were affected during the floods of September 2014.While reviewing the process of disbursement of relief among the traders, Dr. Samoon said that government is committed to help each and every trader who suffered losses during September 2014 floods. He said the process of relief disbursement was expedited after 25 February, 2016 and from that time onwards 6360 traders have been granted cheques worth Rs 15.15 crores. On Wednesday an amount of Rs 0.83 crores was disbursed among 428 traders.The Divisional Kashmir also distributed flood relief cheques worth Rs. 79 lakhs among traders of Qaimoh Kulgam at his office in Srinagar.The cheques were distributed among ninety traders of Kulgam who were affected during floods in September 2014. Div com was accompanied by Tehsildar Kaiser Ahmad.The Divisional Commissioner said that a proposal for release of additional Rs 120 crores has already been sent to government and the same will be distributed among flood affected people.
