DDC Srinagar releases Rs 275 Lakhs for Power, R&B Sectors

District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone, today convened a meeting with officers of   line Departments to review the progress on improvement of   high and low tension power lines including replacement of poles, improvement and renovation work of Srinagar Club. DDC directed  release of Rs. 275 lakhs  to  concerned Sectoral Officer for the various works which includes Rs. 64 lakhs in favour of SE, EM&RE Circle 2nd for improvement /upgradation of existing poles at Lawaypora, Gund Hassibhat, Mujgund Tengpora, Bakshipora, Khoja Bagh and Takanwari areas of Srinagar.

Besides Rs. 32 lakhs was released to  SE,EM&RE Circle 2nd for Steel Poles at Mujgund, Chakh Mujgund, Malroo, Khawajabagh, Takanwaripora, Bakshipora, Tengpora, Shalteng Zainakoote, Khoshipora, while as Rs. 60 lakhs in favour of SE,EM&RE Circle Ist, Srinagar for improvement of HT/LT ( creation/augmentation of sub Stations) in Zadibal Constituency. Rs. 30 lakhs were sanctioned to SE, R&B, Srinagar for construction of foot bridge at Gandbal, Rs. 39 lakhs in favour of SE, R&B Sgr on account of land Acquisition for Community Hall at Nowpora Srinagar and Rs. 50 lakhs to  SE,R&B Sgr for repairs and renovation of Srinagar Club.The District Development Commissioner directed the concerned Engineers to ensure achievement of target before the end of current financial year without compromising on the quality of work.
