Pradesh Congress holds meet, Expresses anguish over present prevailing circumstances in State

Taking stock of the present prevailing circumstances in the State, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee held a meeting of senior party functionaries at PCC Headquarter, Srinagar under the Chairmanship of MLA and Vice President J&K PCC Haji Abdul Rashid Dar. Thread-bare discussions with regard to socio political scenario of the State were held. Many issues of public interest and came under discussion.On this occasion Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din was also present.Pradesh Congress Committee described the present prevailing circumstances as worrisome and sought end to the issues confronting people in all the three regions. PCC expressed serious concern over the chaotic situation created due to mishandling of Food Security Bill by previous PDP BJP Coalition in the State and blamed previous dispensation for misuse of power aiming to get politically benefitted.The wrong entries and bunglings in preparation of Consumer Data has made the people more apprehensive with regard to Food Security Bill. Hundreds of families already registered with CAPD have been left out merely on political lines, which is most unfortunate and highly condemnable.

Speaking on the occasion Haji Abdul Rashid Dar accused previous Coalition Govt for failing to address the main issues of people as promised by them. He said enrolling blue eyed and Party workers while preparing Consumer Data and ignoring the registered consumers was a great injustice on the part of previous PDP BJP Coalition Govt. Everyone has the right to get ration as per the family strength, but the pick and choose policy by PDP and BJP has made the people susceptible on account of rations, he said.He said Congress Party would remain committed to address the issues of any nature facing people and would fight for its resolution.Referring to the ongoing Membership of the Party Haji Rashid Dar expressed confidence that Party under the leadership of Mr.G.A. Mir would register maximum number of Members across the State and break previous records.

Urging Party Functionaries to reach out to the people, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar said that Congress Party represents aspirations of the people fully and is duty bound to seek resolution of the issues confronting people, to the best of its ability.Those who were present on this occasion included Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, General Secretaries Nazir Ahmad Khan, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, Secretary Abid Kashmiri District Presidents Zahid Hussain Jan, Haji Farooq Mir, Abdul Qayoom Shah, Gulam Mohd Ganie, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, Org Secretaries Jawahira Bani, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, Reyaz Ahmad Shiekh, Kadfin Chowdhary, Dr. Syed Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad Bhat (Kullar) Mohd Yaseen Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Mongwapora, Abdul Gani Naseem and others.
