Speaker inaugurates developmental works in Satwari Block

Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated various developmental works in Karan Bagh- Gadi Garh, in Block Satwari being constructed by Rural Dev. Department.The Speaker directed the concerned executing agencies to complete the work in a time frame by ensuring the quality of works.Gupta also interacted with the people of the area and took stock of their problems and demands .Several deputations apprised the Speaker about their problems pertaining to repair and upgradation of lanes and drains in the area, water logging during rainy season, scarcity of drinking water and health care facilities etc. He assured the people to address their all the genuine demands in a phased manner.The Speaker also visited Channi, Sanik Colony, Chatha and other areas of Gandinagar Constituency and inspected various ongoing developmental works under different schemes in the area.Later, the Speaker visited Railway Station Jammu and interacted with passengers who are stranded on Railway Station, Jammu due to blockade of track in Haryana by the agitators. He assured the passengers that the matter will be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action. Meanwhile he instructed the district administration to make appropriate arrangements for accommodating the stranded passengers at suitable places till the railway traffic resumes.
