Appealing Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to make infrastructure available for the rural area cricketers, President of Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) and former agriculture minister Ghulam Hassan Mir Sunday said that Kashmiri youth are much talented than other youth of country. While speaking to KNS during a final cricket match of a tournament titled ‘Friends Cricket Tournament’ here, Mir said that the youth are being deprived to show their talent due to the non-availability of infrastructure. “JKCA, which is currently focusing more on politics instead of cricket, should make infrastructure available, which would help the Valley cricketers especially of rural areas to express their talent,” Mir said.He said that the hidden talent of youth needs to get exposed. “I believe that the youth who have no infrastructure available will shine the state with their talent if their problems will be redressed,” he told KNS.Mir was invited as Chief Guest in the final cricket match held between Wailu and Wahigund cricket teams. With remaining one wicket in the hand, Wahigund cricket team won the match and was awarded with the trophy. The tournament was organized by a local Sarpanch, Muhammad Shafi. (KNS)
