The high powered committee constituted by the Punjab government under the chairmanship of chief secretary Punjab today held meetings with the Employees Associations of Health and Medical Education department. The Committee listened to the various grievances and proposals put forward by the aggrieved employees. Similar meetings would be held daily till February 5 to ensure speedy redressal of the grievances of employees working in the different departments like Education, Rural Development and Panchayats, Local Government, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Irrigation, Power, Public Health and PWD.Disclosing this official spokesman of the Punjab government said that the high powered committee headed by Chief Secretary Punjab Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal had  been mandated by the Punjab government to scrutinize all the demands of employees and ensure effective and quick implementation of the decisions. 

During the meeting the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Mr. S.K.Sandhu, after taking note of grievances of different employees associations, took up the matter with the concerned Secretaries, who were present in the meeting, and directed them to take the call on the recommendations of the employees as per the rules. It was also decided that wherever it was admissible under the rules the DPCs of the various cadre posts would be convened within the month of February and the promotions to the deserving employees would be given within two months.Senior Punjab government officers who were present in today’s meeting included Mr. D.P.Reddy , Principal Secretary Finance , Ms. Vini Mahajan Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Hussan Lal, Secretary Health Secretary, Mr. K.A.P. Sinha Secretary Coordination, Ms Raji P Srivastva Secretary Personnel  and Dr. H.S.Bali Director Health were also present among other senior officers of the Health department.
