Deputy Chairman, J&K Legislative Council Jehangir Hussain Mir, today shared his views in the 4-day Presiding officers Conference being held at Gandhinagar Gujarat. He spoke about the working of the J&K Legislature and said that state enjoys special status under the Indian Constitution. He said J&k Legislature is a vibrant forum where issues of public importance are debated and discussed like in the Parliament.He said J&K Legislature over the years has seen improvements in its working and it has always remained open to latest technological support including use of computers, digitization of records and online information availability.He also threw light on the steps needed to improve the quality of debates in the House and to bring about positive change in various legislative procedures.
