Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today asked all the departments to compile a database for ensuring timely promotion to all the state government employees, as per stipulated rules. A decision to this effect was taken by the Chief Minister during a meeting with delegation of General Categories Welfare Federation (Punjab), which called on him at his office, this morning.Taking part in deliberations, the Chief Minister asked the personnel department to collect the category wise relevant data of all the employees of the state within two months. It may be recalled that after the M Nagraj Judgement the compilation of this data has become necessary for implementing reservation in right earnest. Responding to the demands raised by the delegation, Mr. Badal said that the state government was very sensitive towards the demands of the employees and it would take every decision to safeguard the interests of employees. 

He categorically said that every decision would taken in accordance of law so that the interests of every category of employees were protected and nobody has to suffer.Prominent amongst other present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. SK Sandhu, Principal Secretary Health Mrs. Vinni Mahajan, Secretary Coordination Mr. KAP Sinha, Secretary Personnel Mrs. Raji P Srivastva, Secretary Expenditure Mr. Jaspal Singh, Additional Secretary Personnel Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Chief Organiser of General Categories Welfare Federation Mr. Shyam Lal Sharma, Mr. Nirmal Singh and Mr. RP Singh.
