Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab while talking to media persons here today said that wide spread corruption can never be curbed merely passing a Lok Pal Bill in Parliament it needs a sincere will of evolving stringent measures towards curbing the corrupt practices. Welcoming the passing of Lok Pal bill in Parliament, Mr. Badal assured that the Punjab government would do all out efforts to eradicate corruption at all levels .He gave a call to all the political parties and the governments-in-power to rise above their political affiliation and join hands together in ensuring the corruption free environment in the country. Mr. Badal accompanied by Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Member Parliament was here to address a sangat darshan programme at the newly constituted nagar panchayat Boha.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Member Parliament said that the “Modi Wave” prevelant across the country was going to knock down the congress party completely. She said that the dishonest and “corruption gripped” Congress has given nothing but unemployment, inflation and poverty to its people. People of India have made up their minds to throw the corrupt Congress led UPA government and elect a seasoned and farsighted leader like Narender Modi as the Prime Minister so that the country could bring back on the pace of growth and development. The electorate was desperately looking for a change in the political scenario of India with NDA back in power.Listening to the grievances of the people of Boha during a sangat darshan both Mr. Badal and Mrs. Badal accepted almost all the demands of the people of the area and also sanctioned Rs. 10 crore to the newly constituted Nagar Panchayat Boha for executing various development projects. She also assured the people that each house would be provided with safe potable water. To ensure regular water supply in the area, Boha Nagar Panchayat have been linked with the Water Works Mandi Board. She also said that the problem of water logging would be tackled soon. The inner streets under the Nagar Panchayat would also be tiled.
