Awareness programme on National AAYUSH Mission held at Basohli

An awareness programme on National AYUSH Mission was organised at Village Nagrota Preta Basohli by the Directorate General of Indian Systems of Medicine. Nodal Officer IEC Jammu Dr. Rohit Gupta introduced the public about National AYUSH Mission and its various components. Awareness on medicinal plants, Yoga and wellness were delivered by the resource persons as well. ADMO Kathua, Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal while addressing the public also gives awareness regarding ongoing schemes under National AYUSH Mission in district Kathua.He also said that the alternate system of medicine is going through a transitional phase and the research being carried out will help dispel many fears and doubts that have emerged about its efficacy.Team of National AYUSH Mission who were present for free medical camp includes Dr. Bodh Paul, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Dr. Akhil Gupta and Dr. Anchal Singh. Research officer Medicinal Plant Board, Dr. Aftab also introduced the public about the various medicinal plants and their uses. Yoga expert, Dr. Arun Gupta was also present. Among those who were present in the programme includes Sarpanch , Panch and villagers.
