Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department and Tribal Affairs Chowdhary C chaired meeting of all officers of the Department from Jammu province and  reviewed  the  stock and supply position of the department.The Minister has issued strict instructions to the  Assistant Directors of Jammu province to ensure ration is disbursed  before 18 of every month. He directed the officers  to stick to the set date of disbursement and issuance of ration as per the set scale. The Minister said that if  any complaints of late distribution of ration is received , the responsibility will be fixed and stern action will be taken against the officers. He said that  the ration should reach  the people well in time and there should be no back log of ration in any district.  He also instructed ADs to keep check on the dealers and if some complaints are proved against them they should be recommended for cancellation of license.

The Minister has also instructed officers to start supply of sugar to the Districts and same must reach to the rationees before 24th of December. He said that strict action will be taken if sugar will not be disbursed before 24th of this month.Pressing department to digitize the records of stores, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that preliminary a process of digitization of records must be taken up in main food store of Jammu. He has set a deadline of January 1 for computerization of all records of the stores in Jammu stressing  that everything from Chalan, receipts and dispatches must be started on computer rather manually before the set date.Meanwhile Minister has constituted a team of officers headed by a Deputy Director to access the functioning of Department in Rajouri district. He instructed the Deputy Director to visit the district and take  stock of the ground situation of scale of ration being provided to the consumers. He also instructed to check stock and supply position on ground level in all the areas of district especially Kotranka, Darhal, Manjakote and Thanamandi areas and submit a detailed report of the same. The Minister also instructed the officer to enquire about the complaints of the residents of Targain area of Kotranka regarding scale of ration.Director CAPD, GS Chib, Joint Director Mansoor Hussain, Deputy Director Mohammad Sayeed Khan besides all Assistant Directors of Jammu division and Assistant Director Mills were present in the meeting.
