Urging Centre Government to address urges, aspirations and needs of people in all the three regions of the State, JKPCC has said that setting up of Additional AIIMS in Jammu Region would be a step in a right direction, but at the same time, Centre Government should accede to demand for the setting up IIM, IIT in Kashmir region in order to ensure equal development of the State.Referring to the letter by Leader of Opposition Gulam Nabi Azad urging PM to set up one additional AIIMs for Jammu and IIM, IIT for Kashmir for addressing the aspirations of people, PCC has described it as an earnest effort to seek the attention of the Centre Government towards the need for  respecting urges and aspiration of the people of the State for an equitable development in view of the peculiar  circumstances, geographical and climatic conditions of  in the State, which has the distinction of having two Capitals.

JK PCC has urged the Centre Government to treat the regions equally and there must not be any sort of disparity in any way. What is required in Kashmir is also required in Jammu, so the need of the hour is respect urges and aspirations of the people and to ensure equitable development in the State.Congress Party is committed for equitable development of all the three region, Congress Party treats people in all the regions equally and would continue to fight for equitable development of regions and the resolution of issues confronting people in the State, JKPCC said.The signatories of the Statement are MLA Vice President, Haji Abdul Rashid Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, General Secretaries Hilal Ahmad Shah & Surinder Singh Channi, Secretaries   Irfan Naqib, Abid Kashmir and others.
