Minister for R&B, Floriculture, Gardens and Parks, Syed  Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today visited the shrine of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Sheikh Hamzah Makhdoom Sahib (RA) and took stock of the arrangements put in place for the Urs Mubarak commenced from today.On the occasion, the Minister interacted with officer bearers of Muslim Waqf Board and district administration and sought details about the arrangements made for smooth and peaceful conduct of Urs Mubarak.The Minister directed for extending all basic facilities to devotees expected to pay obeisance at shrine. He asked for ensuring adequate of drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, transport and parking facilities, besides, first aid. He instructed for maintaining cleanliness in and around the shrine.

The Minister asked the transport authorities to ensure adequate transport facilities for the devotees during odd hours so that the people visiting the shrine would safely reach to their respective destinations.Earlier, the Minister paid obeisance at the Shrine and prayed for the peace and prosperity in the State besides wellbeing of people.The Minister was accompanied by MLC, Mohammad Khurshid Alam besides Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, SSP Srinagar, Chief Engineers of R&B, PHE and PDD, Joint Commissioner (Adm) SMC, Chief Sanitary officer and other concerned officers.(KNS)
