Exhorting upon   officers to adopt proactive approach to deal with the weather vagaries during winter months in Kashmir valley,  the Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari Monday directed the administration to take preemptory action against potential problems so that people do not feel any inconvenience during ensuing winter season.The Minister was addressing a high level officers meeting here to review the winter preparedness of concerned departments .He also reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental works in Pattan  under Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood control, Roads & Buildings, Power Development Department, Health and other vital sectors.While reviewing the sector wise progress, the Minister announced release of funds out of his Constituency Development Fund for purchase of vehicle for the PDD workshop, Pattan. The vehicle shall be utilized to get instant replacement of the damaged transformer from the workshop.

Molvi Ansari asked concerned officers of PDD  to complete the work of laying of HT, LT lines and ensure repair of damaged transformers within this month . He also directed PHE  department  to speed up execution works of  all ongoing water supply schemes in the area and ensure repair of water supply pipes where ever required.The Minister also reviewed the progress on different works taken in hand out of the CD funds in Pattan and directed concerned to ensure speedy completion of these works providing better amenities to the people. For these works, the Minister has provided Rs.37.50 lakh out of his CD Fund during the current fiscal so far.Taking review of developmental works under R&B, Irrigation & Flood Control, and Rural Development, the Minister asked concerned officers to work in tandem and ensure completion of all works within  the stipulated time frame.Earlier, the concerned officers gave detailed resume about the preparedness plan of snow clearance during winters.
