Bharatiya Janata Party’s Senior Citizens Cell organized an impressive programme where dozens of people aged above 60 years  joined party’s fold under the Cell. The programme was held under the leadership of State Covenor Senior Citizens Cell Bhupinder Singh at Gandhi Nagar. State BJP Incharge of Cells Sat Sharma (CA) was called upon to grace the occasion and dozens of people joined the party cadre in his presence. Addressing the gathering Sat Sharma (CA) said the party felt that senior citizens are the people who need special attention and care and that is why Senior Citizens Cell was formed and the main objective of the Cell includes holding of senior citizens meetings from time to time to listen to their grievances. Sharma also stated that in coming days Senior Citizens Cell will also organize free health camps and all types of problems faced by Senior Citizens of all sections of society will be dealt by the party irrespective of their party affiliations. Lambasting the State and Central Government, Sharma also said that both the governments have no proper schemes for Senior Citizens which can be beneficial to them for a long time.  Focussing on General Elections of 2014, Sharma said that only development Mantra of BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi can solve the problems of our Senior citizens who are being ignored and new schemes will be introduced so that they could live their lives independently.

BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal General Secretary Sunil Sharma and Ward President Ashok Sharma were also present in the meeting.Bhupinder Singh thanked everyone who was present in the meeting and Senior Citizens as well who joined the party fold.Virendra Singh, Naseeb Singh, Sanju Pal Singh, Santokh Singh, Girish Sharma, Krishan Sharma, Krishan Singh, Lakhvinder Singh, Baldev Kumar, Simpy Singh, Maninder Singh, Om Parkash, Prem Nath Sharma, Joginder Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Neeraj Singh, Ramesh Chand, Anil Kumar, Raju Kumar, Vicky Kumar, Bodh Raj Sharma, Baijo Singh, Hansraj, Ramesh Kumar, Raman Kumar, Fauja Singh, Iqbal Singh, Santokh Raja were among the prominent people who joined Senior Citizens Cell of the party.
