A meeting of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was held today under the Chairmanship of MLA Mian Altaf Ahmad to examine the audit paragraphs of the Revenue Department.The meeting was attended by the legislators Mr. M. Y. Tarigami, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Mr. Mohammad Khalil Band, Mr. Sat Paul Sharma, Mr. Ajay Nanda, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, Mr. Shah Mohammad Tantray, Mr. Zaffar Iqbal Manhas and Dr. Shehnaz Ganai.The meeting discussed the process of settlement of land records in the State. It also reviewed the status of computerization / digitization of land records taken up in two districts on pilot basis in phase-I under NLRMP.The Committee meanwhile asked concerned field officers to be proactive and complete the targets within the stipulated time.Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Accountant General J&K, Secretary Revenue Mohammad Afzal, Deputy Commissioners Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Anantnag, Budgam districts and other senior officers of Revenue Department were also present in the meeting.
